Searching the Internet

You can search many sites on the Internet for any name in your family file.  Billions of names can quickly be searched.  To do this:

1. Make the person you want to search for the current individual on the Family or Pedigree View.
2. From the Search or Internet tab on the Ribbon bar, choose Search Internet. This displays the Search Internet screen.
3. Select the Internet site you would like to search by clicking on the appropriate option button.
4. Click Search.

Note:  Some Internet sites that contain genealogical information require a paid subscription in order to access their information.  Ancestry.com, Genealogy.com, and MyTrees.com are examples of this type of site.  Many of these sites offer free introductory subscriptions for a short period of time before payment is require for continued use.
