Prepositions on Locations

The Prepositions file contains prepositions that are commonly found at the beginning of locations.  Legacy uses the entries in this file list when removing the prepositions while displaying the locations in user-defined sorted order with the "Remove Prepositions" option selected on the Sort Locations list.

The list can be edited as desired. The case of the entries doesn't matter.  Here is a list of the default prepositions that are used if the Prepositions.lst file cannot be found or opened:

You can edit the Prepositions.lst file in any editor.  Be sure to save it as a straight text file with no formatting codes.

Put each preposition on its own line.

Prepositions can have more than one word in the phrase.  For example, Across the, or In front of.

You can put comments in the file by preceding them with a double slash (//).  For example:

// This is a comment line and is not read in by Legacy.
// Also, blank lines are not read.
