LDS Ordinance Information
Entering Ordinance Information
From the individual's Information window you can pop up the LDS Ordinance Information box by clicking the Temple icon 
in the toolbar (if you have LDS fields turned on in the Options section). This dialog box lets you record the date and temple for baptism, endowment and sealing to parents.
The LDS Ordinance Information window can also be reached by click the button on the Husb or Wife box on the Family or Pedigree View.
Temples
You can either type in a temple abbreviation or select a temple from the temple list. If you type the abbreviation, the entire temple name will appear in the field when two or more matching characters are typed. If you want to select a temple from the list, click the down arrow button to the right of the temple field. Scroll up and down in the list to find the desired temple name and then click on it to select it.
Repeating Fields
When entering ordinance information for families you may find that the dates and temples tend to repeat themselves as the entire family was processed. Rather than retype the information over and over again, you can use the following buttons and keys to repeat field entries from the last individual entered:
Repeat Button-Clicking the Repeat button at the bottom of the window repeats the entry made for the previous individual.
Alt-R or Ctrl-R or F8-Same as clicking the Repeat button.
Click on a line label, such as Baptism, Endowment, Sealed to Parents or Sealed to Spouse-Repeats both the date and temple entry from the last person.
Dates Memorized (Deluxe Edition Only)
As you enter dates into ordinance date fields in Legacy, the most recent ten dates are remembered and can be quickly displayed in a popup list and selected. To display the list of the last ten ordinance dates, right-click on the field label to the left of any ordinance date field. From the resulting popup list of dates you can select one to fill into the date field by clicking on it. To clear the date list and start over, click (Clear all memorized dates) at the bottom of the list.
Temples Memorized (Deluxe Edition Only)
As you enter places into temple fields in Legacy, the most recent ten temple names are remembered and can be quickly displayed in a popup list and selected. To display the list of the last ten temple names, right-click on the field label to the left of any temple field. From the resulting popup list of temple names you can select one to fill into the temple field by clicking on it. To clear the temple list and start over, click (Clear all memorized temples) at the bottom of the list.
Sources
You should always record the source of any information you find so that you or someone else can find it again in the future. Click the 
icon to bring up the Assigned Sources window where you can record this information. See Citing the Sources of Your Information, Define or Edit a Master Source or Source Detail for more information.
Using the Source Clipboard
The Source Clipboard is a feature in Legacy that can tremendously increase the efficiency with which you document the sources of the information you enter into your Family File. See Source Clipboard for information on how and why to use this feature.
