LDS Dates


If you are entering LDS ordinance information you can use the following special date codes in the specified date fields:

Child, Chi, Infant or Inf can be entered in the Baptism or Endowment date fields to show that the child died before the age of eight therefore making the ordinance unnecessary.

Stillborn or Sti can be entered in the Baptism, Endowment or Seal to Parents date fields to show that these ordinances are not necessary.

BIC can be entered into the Sealed to Parents date field to show that the child was Born In the Covenant to parents who were previously sealed together in the temple.

Submitted or Sub can be entered in any ordinance date field to show that the name has been submitted to have that temple ordinance done.

Cleared or Cle can be entered into any ordinance date field to show that the name has been submitted and cleared (but not yet done) for that ordinance.

Uncleared or Unc can be entered into any ordinance date field to show that the name has been submitted but not cleared for temple ordinance work.

Completed or Com can be entered into any ordinance date field to show that the name has been submitted and cleared and the temple ordinance work has been done.  (You don't know the date yet.)

Canceled or Can can be entered into any ordinance date field to show that the ordinance has been canceled. 

DNS or DNS/CAN can be entered into the Seal to Spouse or Seal to Parents date fields to show that the ordinance has been canceled or should not be performed (Do Not Seal).

Pre-1970 can be entered into any ordinance date field to show that the temple work might have been done.

Done can be entered into any ordinance date field to show that the work has been done.
