Add Tab on the Ribbon Bar
Below is a description of all the groups and tools on the Add tab of the Ribbon Bar:
Add Spouse Group
Add Husband
Opens the Add screen to start the addition of a new husband or the linking to a husband who already exists in the family file (or an additional husband) to the current wife. If there is no current husband and no current wife, a new male individual is added. If there is a current male individual but no current wife, the Add Husband command is not allowed.
Add Wife
Opens the Add screen to start the addition of a wife (or an additional wife) to the current husband. If there is no current wife and no current husband, a new female individual is added. If there is a current female individual but no current husband, the Add Wife command is not allowed.
Add Child Group
Add Son
Opens the Add screen to start the addition of a new son to the current couple (or linking to an existing male in the family file).
Add Daughter
Opens the Add screen to start the addition of a new daughter to the current couple (or linking to an existing female in the family file).
Add Parents Group
Add Father
Add Father to Husband - Opens the Add screen to start the addition of a new or additional father to the current husband.
Add Father to Wife - Opens the Add screen to start the addition of a new or additional father to the current wife.
Add Mother
Add Mother to Husband - Opens the Add screen to start the addition of a new or additional mother to the current husband.
Add Mother to Wife - Opens the Add screen to start the addition of a new or additional mother to the current wife.
Add Sibling Group
Add Brother
Add Brother to Husband - Opens the Add screen to start the addition of a new or additional brother to the current husband.
Add Brother to Wife - Opens the Add screen to start the addition of a new or additional brother to the current wife.
Add Sister
Add Sister to Husband - Opens the Add screen to start the addition of a new or additional brother to the current husband.
Add Sister to Wife - Opens the Add screen to start the addition of a new or additional brother to the current wife.
Add Unlinked Group
Add Male
Opens the Individual Information screen to add a new individual (defaulted to Male) to your family file.
Add Female
Opens the Individual Information screen to add a new individual (defaulted to Female) to your family file.
Exit Group
Exit Legacy
Closes the any family files you have open and then exits and closes Legacy. If you are using the reminder option to make a backup of your family file(s) when exiting the program, you will be prompted to do so. See Backup a Family File.
