Child Columns

These display formats can be set:
  • From the Customize Window Choose Customize from the Options tab on the Ribbon bar and click on the View option on the menu panel.  Select the desired number of columns from the Child Columns on Family View box.
  • From the Family View - Right-click on any child's name, choose View, then select the desired number of columns you want.

    Child Columns on Family View
You can choose one of five display styles for the child list box on the Family View.  Choices include a one-, two-, or three-column display, Best Fit, or a scrolling list (grid).  Most families don't have more than ten or so children, so choosing a two-column display gives more room for the names.  The Best Fit style will automatically change between one, two, or three columns depending on the number of children in the family.

The Scrolling List setting will display one child per line showing columns for Child Number, Full Name, Sex, Birth Date, Birth Place, Death Date, and Death Place.  (You can select from a large list of available columns to display by right-clicking on any column heading.  See  Customize Child List Columns.)  To change to the grid format, right-click on any child's name and then choose View > Scrolling List (grid).
