Setting the Preferred Startup Family

You can change the Preferred Startup Family by:

1. Choose Set Startup Family from the Options tab on the Ribbon bar, then click one of the following buttons:

Set Current Family As Preferred Startup - This makes the currently displayed family the new Startup Family

Select a Family from the Name List - This pops up the Name List where you can select an individual who is one of the spouses of the family you want to set.

The Preferred Startup Family is displayed whenever you start Legacy (unless you have turned off this feature in the Customize section). It is usually set to your own entry in the Family File.

You can always return directly to the Startup Family by choosing Go To > Preferred Startup Family from the View tab of the Ribbon bar. (The shortcut key is Ctrl-S.)
