The small toolbar along the top side in the upper-left corner is called the Quick Access Toolbar.
It is always visible and gives you some commonly needed options. These include:
- starting a new chart
- opening an existing chart
- saving a chart
- saving a chart under a new name
-printing a chart
- selecting a new starting individual
- selecting a new chart type
- changing the number of generations for a chart
Just to the right of the toolbar is a button that lets you customize it
